Housing Development Intern

During my internship at Chinatown Community Development Center, I contributed to various community development projects aimed at enhancing affordable housing access. My role involved assisting in project management and community outreach activities.

Health Equity Policy & Planning Intern

During my time with Alameda County Public Health Department (ACPHD), I supported community-focused initiatives centered on civic engagement, health equity, and reducing barriers impacting underserved communities. This experience strengthened my understanding of public service and deepened my interest in systems-level approaches to community well-being.

Health Career Connection (HCC) provided professional development and internship opportunities designed to prepare emerging leaders for careers in healthcare and public service. Through mentorship and hands-on experience, the program connected students with mission-driven organizations and community-based work.

Director of Nutrition 
Greenridge Post-Acute

In this role, I oversaw nutrition services for post-acute residents, ensuring dietary plans met clinical, regulatory, and individualized health needs. I managed food service operations, coordinated with clinical staff, and supported resident care through nutrition-focused interventions that promoted recovery and overall well-being.

2020 - 2021

Certified Dietary Manager –
Valley Pointe Nursing & Rehab

As a Certified Dietary Manager, I was responsible for overseeing dietary operations in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. I managed meal planning, compliance with nutrition standards, staff coordination, and resident dietary needs, ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered food service delivery.

I later earned my Bachelor of Science in Public Health from California State University, East Bay, where I expanded my understanding of health equity, systems-level challenges, and community health. My education reinforced my commitment to creating healthier and more equitable communities through interdisciplinary work.

Community Collge

I began my academic journey at community college, where I focused on nutritional health and developed an early interest in the relationship between food, wellness, and community health. During this time, I earned my Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification, which strengthened my knowledge of nutrition services and healthcare operations.
